Organisation
Threon NV is the official organizer of the ‘Project Manager of the Year’ contest.
Eligibility criteria
To qualify for participation, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be a professional project manager, either employed internally or operating as a freelancer for a company registered in Belgium, the Netherlands, or Luxembourg.
- Submit a completed application form before 30/07/2025.
The following nominations will not be considered:
- Candidates employed as external project managers by consultancy firms.
- Candidates employed by the organizing company, Threon NV.
Organisations may submit multiple nominations. While only one candidate per organisation will typically be retained, Threon reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to retain multiple candidates or to exclude otherwise eligible nominees in the event of multiple submissions from the same organisation.
Practical
Candidacy
For an application to be valid, the candidate must submit their own nomination.
The completed application form must be submitted no later than 30/07/2025.
Upon submission, candidates will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of their application.
The organizing body reserves the right to disqualify any participant if the information provided in the application form is found to be inaccurate or misleading.
Jury
The jury will assess candidates with full impartiality.
The jury’s decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.
Prize
The recipient of the award will receive the title of ‘Project Manager of the Year 2025’ and a personal prize valued at €500.
All non-winning candidates will receive an honourable mention; however, no specific rankings will be disclosed.
Contest Schedule
Following the application deadline on 30/07/2025, the jury will review all submissions to determine eligibility. Candidates selected for participation will be notified via email by 30/08/2025.
The profiles of all selected candidates will be published on the official contest website https://projectmanageroftheyear.be/. Each profile will include the candidate’s profile picture, full name, company name, brief biography and a description of the managed project.
Along with the publication of the selected candidates on the website, public voting will commence. This voting period will last four weeks, concluding on 12/10/2025. After the public vote, the jury assesses all candidates and gives a jury score. The final score will be a combination of the public voting results (50%) and the jury assessment score (50%).
The winner of the ‘Project Manager of the Year’ award will be personally contacted by 14/10/2025. The organizing team will arrange a company visit to present the award, conduct an interview, and shoot a promotional video.1
The official public announcement of the winner will take place on 06/11/2025.
Public Voting Regulations
Each individual is permitted to cast only one vote. An individual is not allowed to use multiple email addresses to cast more than one vote.
The organizing team reserves the right to verify votes and request further information from voters if necessary. If fraudulent activity or irregularities are detected, the organisation may invalidate the affected votes.
To maintain the integrity of the competition, candidates are strictly prohibited from offering financial incentives or gifts in exchange for votes.
Privacy & data protection
By submitting an application, participants agree to the terms and conditions of Threon NV https://www.threon.com/terms_and_conditions.
Threon NV will process all personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Candidates may request the deletion of their personal data following the conclusion of the contest by contacting the organizing committee. https://www.threon.com/privacy-policy
By participating in this contest, candidates grant the organizers permission to use their name, company name, company logo, and any related non-financial data, photographs, videos, and editorial content created in connection with the ‘Project Manager of the Year’ award. No financial compensation will be provided for such usage.
